Recap: 2013 OK Conference Champions

A quick recap of who finished on top of the OK Conferences in the 2013 season.

OK BLACK:

Muskegon: 12-2, 5-0 in conference

Recap: Deshaun Thrower led the Big Reds all the way to the State Title game where Muskegon fell short vs Nationally Ranked and undefeated Birmingham Brother Rice.

OK BLUE: 

Comstock Park: 12-1, 5-0 in conference

Recap: Comstock Park won 12 straight games to start the season before falling to Grand Rapids South Christian in the D4 State Semifinals.

OK BRONZE:

Grand Rapids Forest Hills Northern: 7-3, 4-1 in conference

Grand Rapids West Catholic: 10-4, 4-1 in conference

Recap: The Huskies beat State Champion Grand Rapids West Catholic 19-16 in week 5 and saw their season end in a 14-13 loss to Grand Rapids Christian. West Catholic ripped off 9 straight wins after losing to Forest Hills Northern on their way to a State Title.

OK GOLD:

Grand Rapids South Christian: 12-2, 5-0 in conference

Recap: The Sailors reached the State Championship for a 2nd straight year, but weren't able to repeat after losing 49-35 to Marine City.

OK GREEN:

Zeeland West: 13-1, 5-0 in conference

Recap: The Dux won their 2nd State Championship in 3 years after beating DeWitt 34-27 who entered the game undefeated at 13-0

OK RED:

Rockford: 9-2, 5-0 in conference

Recap: The Rams battled injuries all season to win another conference title (5th straight), but Hudsonville knocked Rockford out of the District 19-14.

OK SILVER:

Grand Rapids Northpointe Christian: 8-2, 5-1 in conference

Grandville Calvin Christian: 7-4, 5-1 in conference

Hopkins: 7-3, 5-1 in conference

Recap: The OK Silver saw three teams split the conference championship in 2013. Hopkins won at least a share of the title for the 4th straight season.

OK WHITE:

Lowell: 10-1, 5-0 in conference

Recap: The Red Arrows went undefeated in a tough OK White Conference, but ended up losing to State Finalist Muskegon 28-21 in the District.
