Breakdown: Allendale's Couturier shows big play ability

By: WM Football Network Staff August 4, 2014

If you watch Allendale's Nate Couturier on tape, it is easy to see the kid can flat out play the game of football. The senior wide receiver showcases big play ability, which guided him to over 1,100 yards receiving, All-Conference, and Dream Team honors in 2013.

Playing much bigger than his 5'10" frame, Couturier makes plays after the catch and in the return game. He put up huge numbers in 2013, six 100-yard receiving games, including a 200-yard, 3 TD performance vs. Coopersville.

Couturier reaches top-end speed quickly and uses his great field vision to make tacklers miss. Expect this kid to be in the Player of the Year race all season long as we see him having another big year in 2014. Losing a great QB like Haiden Majewski (Honorable Mention All-State in 2013) will hurt, but we don't see a drop-off in production from Couturier.

We are excited for the opportunity to watch Couturier make big plays this fall as Allendale (8-2, 4-1 in conference in 2013) looks to put together another strong season.
