After forcing a three and out on Jenison's first drive, East Grand Rapids (6-3, 3-2 in OK White) drove 83 yards on 9 plays and capped it off with a 1-yard TD run from Bryce Henkey. QB Mikey Roth hit Mason Banbury over the middle for 31-yards down to the Jenison (1-8, 0-5 in OK White) 1-yard line to set up the TD.

The teams forced punts back and forth until the 2nd quarter and then EGR was able to put together another scoring drive. Ben Wollet forced Jenison's Joe Rambo to fumble and the Pioneers recovered on the Jenison 35-yard line. Two Bryce Henkey 11-yard runs and a 17-yard run from Drew Hollerbach put East Grand Rapids inside the Jenison 10. Two plays later, Henkey ran it in from 3 yards out giving East Grand Rapids a 14-0 lead with 8:33 left in the 2nd quarter.

With 2:16 left in the half, Jenison's Brock Bethke picked off Mikey Roth after the pass deflected off the outstretched hands of Gourney Sloan. A few plays later the Wildcats tried a reverse pass, but Brock Bethke's pass was picked off by Avery Jennings with 1:36 left in the half.

Mikey Roth then completed a 29-yard pass down the sidelines to Jon Olsson, an 11-yard out route to Michael Clifford, and then a 17-yard TD pass to Mason Banbury with 26 seconds left. Roth rolled out to his right and threw back to the middle of the field finding Banbury for six. East Grand Rapids took a 21-0 lead into the break.

AJ Zawacki started the 2nd half with a 61-yard kickoff return for the Pioneers to set EGR up at the Jenison 36-yard line. After 11-yard runs by Mikey Roth and Mike Johnston the Pioneers were inside the 20. Three plays later Mikey Roth's 1-yard QB sneak gave EGR a 28-0 lead with 9:15 left in the 3rd.

On the first play of the next possession, Brennan Burke picked off a tipped pass from Mason Ippel and the Pioneers took over. On the next play from scrimmage, QB Mikey Roth hit a wide open AJ Zawacki on a corner route for the 31-yard TD and a 35-0 lead for East Grand Rapids.

Jenison's Alex Perez picked off QB Mikey Roth late in the 3rd and the Wildcats capitalized on the drive that spilled into the 4th quarter. Ippel hit Joe Rambo over the middle and Rambo ran 85 yards down to the 3-yard line before being brought down by Michael Clifford. Brock Bethke punched it in from 3-yards out to make it 35-7 with 10:48 left in the game.

EGR responded with a heavy dose of running back Matt Ellis, who carried the ball ten consecutive times and finished an 80-yard drive with a 19-yard TD run making it 42-7 with 6:04 left.

On their next drive, the Wildcats once again found the end zone and this time it was with a TD pass. Mason Ippel hit Mike Persak on a slant route for a 25-yard TD making it 42-14 with 1:31 left in the game.

The Pioneers then ran the clock out, picking up their 6th win and East Grand Rapids secured themselves a playoff spot.
