Random observations from week 7 of the season

We saw another team fall, an explosion of offense from a familiar team, and many other things in week 7. Here are some random observations.

Observations:

4 teams in the OK Conferences remain undefeated at 7-0 (Muskegon, West Catholic, Zeeland West, and Lowell).

West Catholic QB Travis Russell had his second consecutive 5 TD game. He threw 3 touchdowns and ran for another 2, which gives Russell 24 total touchdowns on the season.

Zeeland West scored 75 points on Friday night, which increases their points per game average to 54.1 per game.

Lowell's defense remained strong giving up just 7 points in week 7 and the Red Arrows are surrendering just 11 points per game on the season.

12 teams in the OK Conferences have at least 6 wins and have qualified for the playoffs.

6 teams in the OK Conferences have 5 wins and have 2 more games to pick up that crucial 6th win.

Greenville's Eric Plate had his third 200-yard rushing game of the season as he racked up 260 yards vs Forest Hills Eastern. Plate now has 1,145 yards on the season.

Caledonia's Eddie Kelly also passed the 1,000-yard mark on the season with 174 yards vs East Grand Rapids. Kelly has 17 rushing touchdowns on the season.

South Christian now has won 5-straight games and the Sailors are averaging 41.4 points per game during the win streak.

South Christian QB Jon Wassink had more touchdowns (4) than incompletions (3) vs Hastings.
