Houston (QB, Northview): Houston
threw for 263 yards and 7 touchdowns in a 49-48 OT loss to Chelsea.
Zach
Pangborn (WR, Northview): Pangborn
was Houston's top target in week 1 catching 4 passes for 154 yards and
4 touchdowns.
Eric
Plate (RB, Greenville): Plate
had an unreal night in a 61-13 win. He had 9 carries for 265 yards and
2 touchdowns. He added 2 receptions for 108 yards and a TD.
Nick
Marosi (RB/WR, Catholic Central): Marosi
racked up 307 all-purpose yards vs East Grand Rapids. He had 98 yards
rushing, 123 yards receiving (including a 64-yard TD), and 86 return
yards.
Eddie
Kelly (RB, Caledonia): Kelly
had 5 total touchdowns vs Harper Creek. He ran for 77 yards and 4
touchdowns, while adding 94 receiving yards and another score.
Noah
Salasky (K, East Grand Rapids): Salasky
nailed a 25-yard game-winning field goal to boot East Grand Rapids to a
17-14 win over Grand Rapids Catholic Central.
Jack
Bates (LB, Grand Rapids Christian): Bates
was a monster and a crucial part of helping the Eagles defense slow
down South Christian's powerful offense. Bates had 7 tackles (2 TFL)
and was all over the field.
Austin
Heeres (QB, Calvin Christian): Heeres
threw 4 touchdowns and added a rushing TD leading Calvin Christian to a
72-6 win.
Brian
Cappiello (RB, Grandville): Cappiello
ran for 163 yards and 2 touchdowns to help lead Coach Eric Stiegel to a
win in his Grandville debut.
Mason
Opple (QB, Hudsonville): Opple
ran for 133 yards and 3 touchdowns, while adding 133 yards passing and
a TD in a 27-8 win over Holt.
