Several
OK Conference teams still find themselves alive and well in 2014
postseason. Check out some of performances that helped teams survive in
the District Finals.
Bryce
Lovelace (K, East Kentwood): Lovelace
nailed a 22-yard field goal as time expired to give East Kentwood a
17-14 win over Grand Ledge and a District Title.
The
East Kentwood Defensive Front Seven: The
front seven of the Falcons was dominant against the Grand Ledge rushing
attack and created great pressure on QB JT Houghton all day long. The
Comets had just 68 yards rushing on 31 attempts and registered only 154
yards on the day.
Jon
Wassink (QB, South Christian): Wassink
had 7 total touchdowns in South Christian's 58-34 win over Unity
Christian. He ran for 295 yards and 5 touchdowns, while adding 2
passing touchdowns.
The
South Christian Offensive Line: The big
guys up front created some huge holes for Wassink and Plasman to run
through vs Unity Christian. The Sailors ran for 400 yards and 5
touchdowns on the night.
Tyree
Jackson (QB, Mona Shores): Jackson had 4 total
touchdowns for the 2nd straight week. He threw for 130 yards and a TD,
Jackson also added 145 yards and 3 touchdowns on the ground.
DeOntay
Moffett (RB, Mona Shores): Moffett rocked Midland Dow for 157
yards and 2 touchdowns on the ground in the 41-14 win.
Travis
Russell (QB, West Catholic): Russell
was 15/26 for 185 yards and 4 touchdowns in a 48-12 win over Hopkins.
He added 166 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Ryan
Stevens (QB, Lowell): Stevens
was 9/16 for 207 yards and threw 3 touchdowns passes in Lowell's win
over Grand Rapids Christian.
Jeff
Snikkers (RB, Unity Christian): Snikkers
ran for big yardage and grinded out 187 yards on the ground and a
touchdown vs South Christian.
