Pride Stickers: Week 2

It's time for pride stickers. We had another batch of great performances in week 2 so let's take a look at who received a sticker this week.

Eddie Kelly/Kobe Wilson (RB/QB, Caledonia): Kelly (282 yards rushing) and Wilson (113 yards rushing) helped Caledonia explode for a 47-21 win over South Christian on Friday night. Kelly ran for 3 touchdowns (65, 61, and 13 yard TD runs), while Kobe Wilson added 2 rushing touchdowns of his own (78 and 5 yards) and tossed a TD pass to Bryce Christian.

Jack Bates (LB, Grand Rapids Christian): Bates led Grand Rapids Christian with 12.5 tackles (4 TFL) in a 29-21 loss to Muskegon.

Caleb Washington (RB, Muskegon): Washington had 172 yards rushing and scored 2 4th quarter touchdowns to help the Big Reds rally past Grand Rapids Christian 29-21.

Taran Smith (LB, Muskegon): Smith led a strong Big Reds defense, which didn't surrender a point to Grand Rapids Christian in the 2nd half. Smith had 9 tackles and a sack.

Mason Opple (QB, Hudsonville): Opple had another big night leading Hudsonville to a 48-17 win over Traverse City West. He was 9/14 for 136 yards with a TD and on the ground he had 180 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns.

The East Grand Rapids defense: The Pioneers' defense had 7 sacks and held Ottawa Hills to 54 yards of total offense. Brendan Oosse (2.0), Carter Masek (1.5), Mason Banbury (1.5), Daniel Zanko (1.0), and Nick Lafleur (1.0) each recorded at least a sack in the win.

Jack Mandryk, Dalton Agers, and Lucas Collins (Hudsonville): Mandryk (8 tackles, 2 sacks), Agers (7 tackles, 1 sack), and Collins (4.5 tackles, 1 sack) anchored a strong Eagles' defense as Hudsonville improved to 2-0 on the season.

Jake Sendzik (RB, Rockford): Sendzik had 138 yards and 2 touchdowns to help Rockford beat Holt 40-28. He averaged 8.1 yards per carry in the win.

Eric VanVoorst (WR, South Christian): VanVoorst had 9 receptions for 170 yards and TD, including a 70-yard TD reception.
