It's
that time again. Let's hand out some pride stickers for great
performances in week 3.
Max
Dean (RB, Lowell): Dean
had 4 rushing touchdowns, including the go-ahead TD with 59 seconds, in
Lowell's 30-25 win over East Grand Rapids. He also was solid on the
defensive side of the ball collecting 5 tackles (2 TFL) and a sack.
Logan
Wilcox (DT, Lowell): Wilcox
was a run-stopping machine and had 10 tackles (3.5 TFL) vs EGR to help
the Red Arrows' defense hold the Pioneers to 51 yards rushing on the
night.
Sam
Matthews (TE, East Grand Rapids): Matthews
delivered 2 huge touchdown catches in the 2nd quarter to spark an East
Grand Rapids comeback vs Lowell. Matthews had TD catches of 79 yards
and 37 yards on the night. He finished with 118 yards receiving.
Mikey
Roth (QB, East Grand Rapids): Roth
put together a gutsy performance in a 30-25 loss to Lowell by throwing
for 267 yards and 3 touchdowns. Lowell's defense was keeping the
Pioneers' run game in check, but Roth used his arm to help the Pioneers
fight back to take a 25-22 lead in the 4th.
John
Masselink (WR/DB/K, South Christian): Masselink
nailed a 23-yard field goal in OT giving South Christian their first
win of the season in a 33-30 thriller over Unity Christian.
Jon
Wassink (QB, South Christian): Wassink
had 150 yards passing and 2 touchdowns as South Christian beat Unity
Christian 33-30 in OT. The QB also added 149 yards rushing and 2
touchdowns in leading the Sailors to a win.
The
Rockford Defense: Mona
Shores scored 18 seconds into the game on an 80-yard run by Darece
Roberson, but after that the Rams kept Mona Shores out of the endzone
in a 10-7 win. Rockford forced 2 fumbles in the 4th quarter on their
way to a victory.
Kyle
O'Connor and Kyle Swindell (Greenville): O'Connor
had 155 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns, while Swindell had 158 yards
and a TD. Kyle and Kyle helped Greenville beat Comstock Park 37-16 and
improve their record to 2-1 on the season. O'Connor also threw a
23-yard TD pass to Eric Plate.
Lasavian
Majewski (RB, West Catholic): Majewski
went beast mode on Friday night, racking up 223 yards and a TD in West
Catholic's 38-14 win over Forest Hills Eastern.
Ben
Sweedyk (DB, West Catholic): Sweedyk
was solid all game long on the defensive side of the ball in the
Falcons win over FHE. He had 9 tackles and 2 interceptions.
