A few plays into the game, Whitehall (9-3) QB Zarren Aylor ripped off a 23-yard run into South Christian (10-2, 5-0 in OK Gold) territory, but the Sailors forced Whitehall to punt a few plays later and scored on their first drive of the game. QB Jon Wassink kept the ball on a zone read and took it 64 yards for the TD and a 7-0 lead for South Christian with 7:32 left in the 1st.

Whitehall was forced to punt again, as Geff Plasman was hit immediately after catching the ball and fumbled. Whitehall's Tom Pickard recovered and set up Whitehall at the 27. The Vikings were forced into a 4th and 9 from the Sailors 26 and Zarren Aylor hit Keenan Aylor for 22-yards down to the 4. Jwan Britton capped the drive two plays later with a 1-yard TD run making it 7-7 with 3:58 left in the quarter.

Jon Wassink then hit Ryan Veenstra down the middle on the first play of the next drive for a 64-yard TD pass and a 14-7 lead.

The teams traded punts into the 2nd quarter until the Sailors found the end zone early in the 2nd with a 9-yard TD run from Geff Plasman. Wassink converted a 3rd and 1 earlier on the drive and hit Jake Wierenga on consecutive passes to get the drive going.

Whitehall responded with a great drive, including a 17-yard pass from Zarren Aylor to Keenan Aylor and a 42-yard reception by Jwan Britton down to the 8. The Vikings then fumbled a handoff exchange and South Christian recovered at the 5-yard line.

South Christian was forced into a 4th and 4 situation and Jon Wassink took a fake punt around the corner for a 1st down. Two plays later, Wassink went 82 yards for another rushing TD and a 28-7 lead for the Sailors with 2:28 left in the half.

Whitehall then went for it on 4th and 2 from their own 39 and the Sailors stuffed QB Zarren Aylor to take over on downs. Wassink hit Ryan Veenstra on a corner route down to the 4-yard line and Geff Plasman punched it in on the next play for a 35-7 lead at the half for South Christian.

After a punt pinned Whitehall at their own 8-yard line early in the 2nd half, Sam Heyboer hit QB Zarren Aylor after blitzing off the edge causing Aylor to fumble at the 1-yard line. South Christian recovered the ball in the end zone for the score. The Sailors grabbed a 42-7 lead with 8:46 left in the 3rd.

John Masselink then picked off Whitehall's Zarren Aylor on the next possession and returned it inside the Whitehall 30. Jon Wassink hit Jake Wierenga on a 19-yard pass and Geff Plasman later finished the drive with a 1-yard TD run and a 49-7 lead.

The score stayed that way late into the 4th quarter when Whitehall running back Trip Thommen ran 71 yards for a touchdown at the 3:20 mark. Thommen had a 77-yard TD run earlier in the drive, but a holding penalty wiped it out.

The score would remain 49-14 until the finish as South Christian picked up their third straight Regional Championship.
