Shurlow
led Lowell to an OK White Conference Championship and a 10-1 record.
The dual-threat QB threw 28 touchdowns and ran for 18 more. He threw
for 2,500 yards, ran for over 1,000, and he had 2 interceptions as a
defensive back. Shurlow was the Grand Rapids Press Player of the Year
in 2013.

Wassink (GR
South Christian, QB, Jr.)
The
Junior QB was stellar all season long leading South Christian to the
Division 4 State Finals. He threw for over 2,700 yards and 24
touchdowns, while adding 22 touchdowns on the ground. Wassink was named
1st team All-State and the Grand Rapids Press 2013 Offensive Player of
the Year.
Deshaun
Thrower (Muskegon,
QB, Sr.)
Thrower
led Muskegon to a 12-2 record and the Division 2 State Finals. He
racked up over 3,000 yards of offense and 39 touchdowns on his way to
All-State honors. The Associated Press also named Thrower the Division
1 Co-Player of the Year with Cass Tech's Damon Webb.

Brown (Muskegon
Mona Shores, WR, Sr.)
Brown
did a little bit of everything in 2013. The senior wideout had 17 total
touchdowns (11 receiving, 3 rushing, 3 passing). He broke 11 school
records in his career and had over 1,000 yards receiving in 2013.
Kyle
Steigenga (Holland
Christian, WR, Sr.)
An
OK Green All-Conference performer in 2013, Steigenga was huge for
Holland Christian with 57 receptions for 961 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Bigham (Lowell,
WR, Sr.)
Bigham
was Kyler Shurlow's favorite target in 2013 catching 47 passes for
close to 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Brent
Showers (Rockford,
LB, Sr.)
Showers
anchored a tough Rams' defense in 2013 and racked up 120 tackles on his
way to All-State honors. The team captain had 23 tackles for loss, 4
sacks, and 3 forced fumbles.
Ethan

Christian, LB, Sr.)
Badger
was a monster in 2013 with 102 tackles, 9 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles
in 10 games for Grand Rapids Christian.
Danny
Bauder (Zeeland
West, RB, Sr.)
Bauder
had almost 1,400 yards rushing and 20 touchdowns helping Zeeland West
to another State Championship. He added 6 receiving touchdowns.
Tyree
Jackson (Muskegon
Mona Shores, QB, Jr.)
Jackson,
a 3-year varsity starter, threw for over 2,200 yards and 31 touchdowns
during his junior season and led his team to the playoffs for the first
time in school history.
