East Grand Rapids tops Grand Rapids Catholic Central 17-14

Nick Marosi had a big night for Grand Rapids Catholic Central, 98 yards rushing, 123 receiving yards with a TD, and 86 return yards (including a 66-yard kick return).

East Grand Rapids got 70 yards rushing from AJ Zawacki, a TD pass from Mikey Roth to Gourney Sloan, and a fumble recovery for a TD by LB Mike Johnston.

Opple lifts Hudsonville past Holt 27-8

QB Mason Opple battled through an injury to pass for 133 yards and a TD. He added 133 yards and 3 touchdowns on the ground. Kyle Toth added 82 yards, which put Hudsonville over 200 yards rushing on the night.

Calvin Christian explodes for 72-6 win over Traverse City Christian

Calvin Christian QB Austin Heeres was 11-14 for 129 yards and 5 total touchdowns (4 passing, 1 rushing). Andrew Barnes had 3 rushing touchdowns and Troy DeGroot picked off 2 passes.

Caledonia cruises to 48-7 win over Battle Creek Harper Creek

Caledonia's Eddie Kelly had quite the night with 77 rush yards and 4 TD, he also had 94 yards receiving and a TD. Trenton Foreman ran back a kick 64 yards for a TD. Kobe Wilson ran and threw for a TD.

Haney perfect as Rockford beats Utica Eisenhower 28-10

QB Landon Haney was 10-10 for 80 yards and 2 touchdowns. Jake Sendzik had 6 carries for 57 yards and a TD. Tyler Bradfield returned a fumble 37-yards for a touchdown.

Coach Stiegel wins debut, Grandville beats Jenison 50-14

Grandville's Brian Cappiello ran for 163 yards and 2 touchdowns. Parker Reminga added 124 yards and a TD, while Ben Sinclair had 119 yards and 2 touchdowns. Avery O'Brien returned an interception 69-yards for a TD.

MOMENT OF THE DAY
Coach Stuursma called timeout with 2 seconds left and then it was up to East Grand Rapids kicker Noah Salasky and he delivered. Salasky hit a 25-yard game winning field goal as time expired. Salasky lifted EGR to a 17-14 win over Grand Rapids Catholic Central.
