West Catholic (5-0) once again ran
for over 300 yards and pushed their win streak, dating back to last
season, to 14 games with a 28-14 win over Allendale (2-3).
Falcons'
QB Travis Russell was great once again, this time running for 186 yards
and 2 touchdowns in the win. Russell was 7/12 for 64 yards through the
air with a touchdown pass.
Lasavian
Majewski added 84 yards rushing and a touchdown as West Catholic ran
for 333 yards on the night, averaging 6.4 yards per carry.
Sticking
with the formula, creating turnovers and capitalizing on those
turnovers, the defense forced 3 more increasing their season total to
16 on the season.
The
Falcons forced 3 fumbles and Carl Myers recovered two of them, while
Dylan Viscokis recovered the third. Drew Doyle led the defense with 8
tackles, Nick Buursma had 7, and Brett Wildman, Carl Myers, and David
Fox each had 6.
Allendale
rushed the ball 25 times for just 21 yards on the night.
The
win gives West Catholic a 5-0 record overall and a 1-0 start in the OK
Blue.
