Falcons start fast, improve to 8-0 on the season

West Catholic (8-0, 4-0 in OK Blue) capitalized after a bad snap from Belding (2-6, 1-3 in OK Blue) on a punt sailed down near the goal line. On the next play QB Travis Russell rolled out and hit Bryce Witham for the touchdown. Later in the 1st quarter, Russell found Witham again. This time Russell swung it out to Witham who took it 24-yards for the touchdown and a 14-0 lead for the Falcons after one.

In the 2nd quarter, Russell found Witham on a corner route and once again Witham did the rest as he shredded a tackler on the way to a 51-yard TD reception. West Catholic added 21 more points in the quarter including a 3-yard TD run by Dominic Schmidt, a 44-yard punt return TD from Charlie O'Connor, and an interception return TD by Nick Buursma.

The Falcons built a 42-0 lead at the half and ended up taking the game 42-7.

Travis Russell was 6/10 for 117 yards and 3 touchdowns. He added 61 yards rushing. Bryce Witham had 3 receptions for 77 yards and 3 touchdowns (25.7 yards per reception). The Falcons ran for 153 yards on the night with 10 different players getting a carry.

The defense was dominant once again picking off two passes and increasing their season forced turnover total to 20. Ben Sweedyk and Nick Buursma grabbed the interceptions with Buursma taking his to the house for a TD.

Drew Hernandez was all over the field racking up 11 tackles (2 TFL), while Bryce Witham had 7 tackles (3 TFL), and Drew Doyle added 5 tackles (2 TFL).
