Travis
Russell threw for 195 yards, including a 34-yard TD to Connor Nemmers,
and West Catholic cruised to a 31-0 win over Muskegon Oakridge in the
season opener. Russell added 47 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns for the
Falcons.
Lasavian
Majewski had 76 yards on ground and punched in a TD from 16 yards out
late in the 2nd half. Connor Nemmers ended the night with 3 receptions
for 83 yards.
The
Falcons' defense, lead by Drew Hernandez (13 tackles, 2 TFL), shut down
Muskegon Oakridge, holding them to just 158 total yards. The Eagles
averaged 2.1 yards per carry on the night and turned the ball over 4
times.
