Moment of the game: WR Deleon Brown made a fantastic catch down the sidelines on a jump ball with 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter and took it all the way down to the South Christian 7-yard line. At this point Grand Rapids Christian led 21-14 and the Eagles were able to cap the drive with a TD to seal the 28-14 victory.

Player of the Game: Grand Rapids Christian QB Patrick Hall stepped in for an injured Luke Thompson and helped the Eagles hold off a late South Christian rally. Hall threw a 2-yard TD with 19 seconds left to seal the deal and also had an interception on defense in the 1st quarter.

Shined in a Losing Effort: Geff Plasman didn't have the game running the football he would have liked, but he was huge out of the backfield as a receiver. Plasman had 7 receptions for 102 yards including a 22-yard TD catch in the 3rd quarter giving South Christian their first points.

Stats of the Night: South Christian had 64 total yards in the 1st half and was shutout. The 2nd half was a completely different story as they racked up 204 total yards and 2 touchdowns.

Grand Rapids Christian ran for 229 yards with 3 touchdowns and averaged just over 5 yards per carry.

What's Next: South Christian (0-1) will face Caledonia, while Grand Rapids Christian (1-0) travels to Muskegon.
