Friberg leads East Kentwood to OK Red title

Kyle Friberg was 9/16 for 218 yards and threw 3 touchdown passes to lead East Kentwood (8-1. 4-1 in OK Red) to a 56-17 win over Grand Haven (3-6, 0-5 in OK Red). Friberg added a rushing TD as the Falcons claimed a share of the 2014 conference championship. Michael Ivy ran for 183 yards and 2 touchdowns TD.

Grandville shuts down Hudsonville 22-7

Brian Cappiello ran for 125 yards and caught a 19-yard TD pass as Grandville (5-4, 3-2 in OK Red) beat Hudsonville (5-4, 2-3 in OK Red) by a score of 22-7. The Bulldogs held the Eagles to 109 total yards on the night. Mason Opple was 8/16 for 70 yards and Kyle Toth had 9 carries for 45 yards with a touchdown.

Travis Russell's 5 total TDs leads Falcons to 9-0 regular season

Travis Russell threw 4 touchdown passes and ran for another as West Catholic (9-0, 5-0 in OK Blue) beat Coopersville 45-8. Bryce Witham caught 3 touchdown passes for the 2nd straight week and the defense forced 4 more turnovers. Russell was 14/25 for 200 yards through the air.

South Christian finishes conference play with 5-0 record

Geff Plasman ran for 100 yards for the 4th straight game as South Christian (7-2, 5-0 in OK Gold) picked up their 7th straight victory beating Wayland (0-9, 0-5 in OK Gold) 54-30. Plasman had 125 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns, while QB Jon Wassink was 9/11 for 223 yards and he threw 3 touchdown passes. Austin Burns was 11/16 for 230 yards and threw 4 touchdowns for Wayland in the loss.

East Grand Rapids clinches playoff spot with win over Jenison

Mikey Roth threw 2 touchdown passes and added another on the ground as East Grand Rapids (6-3, 3-2 in OK White) has reached the playoffs after missing the past two seasons. Bryce Henkey had 127 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns on the night. Jenison QB Mason Ippel was 9/17 for 158 yards, including a 25-yard TD pass to Mike Persak.

O'Connor leads Greenville past Northview

Greenville (5-4, 2-3 in OK Bronze) QB Kyle O'Connor was 7/11 for 146 yards and threw 2 touchdowns in a 24-14 win over Northview (6-3, 3-2 in OK Bronze). O'Connor added 186 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns. Damian Olson ran for 53 yards and 2 touchdowns for Northview.
